Floyd

Floyd
Floyd m
English: variant of LLOYD (SEE Lloyd). This form of the name results from an attempt to represent the sound of the Welsh initial LI- using standard English pronunciation and orthography. In the 20th century it has been particularly common in the southern United States and among American Blacks.
